Frequently Asked Questions

Age Divisions
Your child’s age division will be determined by his/her age as of May 1, 2020.
Exception: 4-5 T-ball age division, in which, the child’s age will be determined by his/her age on August 31, 2020.

My child is 5 years old, should he/she play in the 4-5 or 5-6 Age Division?
If your child has never played baseball before, we recommend they play in the 4-5 Age Division. If your child has played before, we recommend they play in the 5-6 Age Division.

What are the Bat rules for the Spring 2020 Season?
All bats must have USA Baseball stamp and the barrel cannot exceed 2 5/8 inches.  2 ¾ inch barrels will not be allowed.
Please be aware that post-season competition will have varying bat rules. If you want to purchase a bat that will be allowed for all competition, purchase USA Baseball 2-5/8s and no larger.

Can my child wear metal cleats?
No metal cleats

Evaluations for ages 5-13 are MANDATORY.
The purpose of evaluations is to ensure a competitive balance in every age group.  This is why we require all players to attend.

Players are asked to wear weather-appropriate athletic clothing and tennis shoes for evaluations; they will be participating in indoor and outdoor activities.

When are evaluations?
Evaluations for ages 5-13 are February 29, 2020 @ The Hangar. The Hangar is at 1199 Shadow Lane (Cornelia Fort). These are not tryouts as everyone will be assigned a team.
REVISED SCHEDULE

Ages 7-8: 3:15-4:15 pm
Ages 9-10: 4:30-5:30 pm

What equipment does my child need?
Baseball Glove
Cleats: No metal spikes, molded only.
Helmet: We highly recommend players purchase their own helmets.
Bat: Bats are not required, but will not be provided.  Players often share bats and these can range from $40-400.
Batting gloves: Can used to prevent blisters.
Baseball pants for practice: We recommend purchasing an extra pair of baseball pants so players do not have to use their game pants.

Are uniforms provided?
Yes, game uniforms are provided to players.  Game uniforms include: hat, shirt, pants, and socks. Practice uniforms are not provided so it is a good idea to get your player some baseball pants and socks for practice.

When will I find out what team my player is on?
Players will be assigned to teams on March 7, 2020.

Teammate and Coach Requests
We will try to accommodate teammate and coach requests to the best of our ability. Our priority is to create a fun, balanced and competitive environment for all age divisions. Please make a note of this request when registering your player and send an e-mail to [email protected] Any requests submitted after teams are created will be denied.

Playing Up/Playing Down Age Division
Any player requesting to play up or play down in an age group MUST attend evaluations. All requests must be approved by the Player Agent.

When are practices and games?
Practice and game schedules will depend on the number of teams we have in each age group, field availability, and coach preference. For this reason, we cannot finalize schedules until after registrations are complete. It can be expected that age divisions 5-6 and older will have two week day practices until games begin. After games begin, players can expect to have 1 practice, 1 week night game, and 1 weekend game. This can vary my age division and team.
